Subject: Complaint: Free HTC phone promotion upon credit card approval
To whom it may concern,
I obtained this HSBC Amanah Platinum credit card since Nov 2014.
I was promised by a staff, Fenny Ho, in Mid Valley roadshow that I would get a HTC phone upon credit card approval.
Later, I found out from the customer service personnel that the HTC phone will only be giving out to a limited number of customers e.g. for the first 2500 applicants.
I was asked to wait for the name list to come out regardless of the number of phonecalls that I have made from month to month.
Finally, the name list was out and my name is in the list.
Again, I was asked to wait for a call from the HTC vendor.
How long do I have to wait?
It's been almost half a year and I haven't received the phone.
Blame it to the name list?! Blame it to the HTC vendor?!
Until today, I haven't received any calls from anyone.
Who and what else do you want to blame for the delay?
Regards

Hi there,
I have not received the phone until today.
It's stated in the previous email "within 2 weeks".
If it's counted by the number of days, it's already 17 days.
If counted by number of Business days, it's already 13 days (deducted 2 public holidays also 11 days).
Please define 2 weeks and let me know when exactly can I get it.
Thanks.
Finally, I received the phone on 16th May 2015.
I find it's insincere of the bank to give the free gift only after such a LOOOONG period of time and I had to go through so much trouble just to follow up on the free gift.
In this case, it's almost 6 months/half a year. . .
